LEWISTON – Doris Gurney Dunn, 83, of 365 East Ave., died Tuesday, May 17, peacefully in her home.

Born on March 23, 1922, the daughter of Edward and Winifred (Owen) Gurney.

She worked as an office secretary and before her retirement worked in the Dean’s office at Bates College.

She enjoyed sewing, was an avid reader, and had a passion for sports – especially football and her favorite team, the Patriots. She loved and adored her two cats “CeeCee” and “Clancy.”

She is survived by two sons, Charles Dunn of Fernley, Nev., and Bruce Dunn; two grandchildren, Charles G. Dunn and Terry T. Dunn; two cousins, Mildred and her husband, Alan, of Greene, and Peggy and her husband, Bill, of Greene.
