LISBON – Both drivers and their young passengers escaped apparent injury in a head-on crash on Route 196 in Lisbon Village on Saturday morning.

Officer Jason St. Pierre identified the drivers as Allyson Mckay, 20, of Webster Road, Lisbon, and Gabrielle Copeley, 32, of Village Street, Lisbon. Both drivers were treated at the scene by Lisbon emergency personnel, but were not taken to a hospital, he said.

According to St. Pierre, Copeley was traveling west and McKay, who approaching from the opposite direction, was making a left turn when the vehicles collided head-on. He said there were young children in both vehicles who were in car seats, and the adults were wearing seat belts.

Both McKay’s 1996 Toyota Camry and Copeley’s 1996 Dodge Caravan were demolished in the 10 a.m. crash. No charges were filed.
