TURNER – The Great Outdoors, located on Route 117 in Turner, has recently reopened its recreation area.

The facility is available by reservation for private parties for weddings, receptions, company outings, family reunions, school groups, anniversary and retirement parties and other types of gatherings.

The lodge can seat up to 300 people and has a stage and full-service kitchen for catering needs, with the grounds accommodating up to 2,000 people.

The recently renovated area includes the lodge, a large sandy beach and swimming area, tennis, volleyball, basketball, horseshoes and softball, all situated on the northern end of Pleasant Pond.

Season passes, dances and entertainment and cottage rentals are also available.
