LEWISTON – Philip P. Benoit, 80, of Mitchell Street, died Friday, May 20, at Ste. Marguerite d’Youville Pavilion.
He was born in Auburn on Aug. 14, 1924, the son of Leo Sorel dit Benoit and Lea Lemay Benoit, and attended Auburn schools.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and making puzzles.
He worked for many years as an automotive technician at Park Motor Mart, and at Maine Awards after retirement.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Rita Dubois Benoit, of Lewiston; and daughter, Phyllis Benoit, of Lewiston.
He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, George Benoit.
