LEWISTON – The wedding of Julie Anne Raymond and Marc Donald Tremblay was held at 10:30 a.m. on May 22 at Saints Peter and Paul Church. The Rev. Michael Gendreau officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Tremblay is the daughter of Gerard J.B. and Patricia Raymond of Lewiston. Mr. Tremblay is the son of Robert and Theresa Tremblay of Lewiston and the grandson of Georgette Rivard of Lewiston.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents. Jennifer Williams, sister of the bride, and Mary French, best friend of the bride, were matrons of honor. Bridesmaids were Chantal Royer-Haig, Karalyn Marcoux Powell and Jessica Tognacci, cousins of the bride, and Christina Becker and Sarah Gagnon, friends. Junior bridesmaid was Brooke Raymond, niece of the couple, and flower girls were Rebecca Raymond and Emma Williams, nieces of the couple.

Serving as best man for his best friend was Matthew Paradis and ushers were J.P. Cote, cousin of the bridegroom, and Guy Dostie, Brian French, Eric Gagnon and Craig Eastman, friends. Honorary ring bearer was David Williams, nephew of the couple, and ring bearers were Cameron Raymond and Evan Raymond, nephews of the couple.

Readers were John Raymond, brother of the bride, and Gerard J.B. Raymond, father of the bride. The offertory was presented by Georgette Rivard, grandmother of the bridegroom, Joanne Charpentier, aunt of the bridegroom, and Judy Tognacci, cousin of the bride.

A reception followed at the Hilton Garden Inn Riverwatch in Auburn, after which the couple traveled to the Sandals Regency Resort in St. Lucia. The couple is residing in Lewiston.

The bride is a 1997 graduate of St. Dominic Regional High School and a 2001 graduate of the University of Maine at Orono. She is currently employed at the Margaret Murphy Center for Children in Lewiston.

The bridegroom is a 1996 graduate of St. Dominic Regional High School and a 1998 graduate of Mount Ida College. He is a funeral director at Pinette Funeral Homes and Dillingham and Son Memorial Chapel.
