RUMFORD – In an effort to assist constituents throughout the Second District, the largest east of the Mississippi, Congressman Michael Michaud has announced community office hours for the River Valley Region.

Anniversary meal

RUMFORD – The Widows or Widowers Sharing will meet for their 21st anniversary dinner at noon Thursday, May 26, at the Rumford United Methodist Church, Linnell Street. This will be the last meeting until fall. For more information, call Elaine at 364-8335.

Network meeting

RUMFORD – The Community Networking meeting, sponsored by the River Valley Healthy Communities Coalition, will be held at noon Thursday, May 26, at Scrappers Domaine on Canal Street. Bring a lunch.

The speakers will be staff from the Greater Rumford Community Center to share information about their summer activities and programs. There will also be updates on other organizations’ community activities, including programs of the Healthy Communities.
