FARMINGTON – This week’s pet is a young, fun loving beagle who goes by the name of Scooby.

Scooby came to the shelter near the end of April as a private surrender because his owner was unable to keep him any longer. Scooby is a year and a half old, is neutered, current on all vaccines and is heartworm/lyme negative.

Scooby is great with children, other dogs and even good with cats. He is an exceptional passenger in the car and loves nothing more than to cuddle up with a friend and snooze.

The best home environment for Scooby would be one with a family willing to spoil him, and a fenced-in yard or kennel area where he could play and be safe would be ideal.

Scooby hasn’t quite hit his one-month mark, but it is getting close and he is ready to find a permanent place to call his own.

The shelter is taking donations for the annual yard sale. No clothes will be accepted, but everything else is welcome. New dogs include a young male mix, black and white, brought in from Livermore Falls
