NORWAY – For nine consecutive years the Oxford Hills Chamber of Commerce has put together an evening in July at Hadlock Field with the Portland Sea Dogs. Always a sell-out, this year’s game is scheduled for Friday, July 15.

For the third year, the first 150 tickets purchased will receive a custom Boston Red Sox bobble-head doll.

Chamber CEO Rich Livingston said, “This event always sells out right away, and we know the tickets and the bobble-heads will go quickly. We’re encouraging people to visit the chamber at 213 Main St., South Paris, as soon as possible to get their reserved seats and pick up Boston Red Sox bobble-head dolls while they last. All of this and still only $6.00!”

Some lucky person from the Oxford Hills will get to throw out the first pitch. The national anthem will be performed by 20 members of Mollyockett Chapter Sweet Adelines International

Asked why does the chamber does this, Chamber Board Chairwoman Judy Green said, “It’s very simple, this is a chance for the organization that touches all aspects of the Oxford Hills community to offer up an event that provides an inexpensive evening of entertainment, while promoting the Oxford Hills outside of our area.”

The Sea Dogs will be playing the Akron Aeros, the Double-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians.

Those interested can purchase tickets at the chamber office anytime during regular office hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
