TURNER – Kendra Vallee, a freshman at Leavitt Area High School, and Marie Roberge of the American Cancer Society, addressed the senior class about the upcoming Relay For Life of Androsrocoggin County.

The two spoke to each class at the high school recently, encouraging them to create teams and participate in the event, which raises money for cancer research and patient services in Maine.

The Relay For Life of Androsrocoggin County will be held Friday and Saturday, June 17 and 18, at the Lewiston High School track. Other relays are being held throughout the state in May and June.

Information about how to form a team or become involved in Relay For Life is available by calling 225-5767. For more information on cancer, call the American Cancer Society at 1-800-ACS-2345, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, or visit www.cancer.org.
