LEWISTON – The Ladies of St. Ann Sodality of Holy Family recently honored Jeannine St. Hilaire as Sodalist of the Year at the Holy Family Parish Center. She was crowned by Bernice Rousseau, last year’s recipient.

St. Hilaire was presented several bouquets by her family members, a plaque by the Rev. Andrew Dubois, pastor and Sodality chaplain, and a gift by Yvette Michaud, Sodality president.

Yvette Michaud provided a narration of St. Hilaire’s family history, achievements in her church and community, as well as the care and love given for her grandchildren. Michaud said she is devoted to God, church, family and community.

St. Hilaire has spent most of her life as a homemaker. She was married to William “Pete” St. Hilaire, who died in March 1994.

They had four children, Linda Susan Cooper, Daniel W. St. Hilaire, Tina Jo-Anne Dehann and Michael R. St. Hilaire. All attended except for Daniel and his wife, Pauline, who live in Florida. She has nine grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

Granddaughters Heidi M. Dehann and Bethany M. St. Hilaire sang a song for their grandmother. Other entertainment was provided by Roger Bouffard.
