JAY – Stanley N. Voter, 72, of North Jay, formerly of Phillips, died late Friday evening, May 27, at his home.

He was born in Farmington, June 27, 1932, a son of Maxwell and Blanche (Fairbanks) Voter. He received his education in Phillips schools and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He worked for SAD 9 as a custodian and was an avid fly fisherman. In his younger years, he was a rock hound.

He was a member of the Phillips Men’s Club and the American Legion.

He is survived by his mother, Blanche Voter, of Farmington; stepchildren, Cindy Reid and Lori James of Farmington, Marilyn Ireland of Corinna, and Jerry Reid II of Temple; stepgrandchildren, Nathan Reid and his wife, Gloria, of New Vineyard, Jason Reid of Phillips, Chelsie and Dustin James of Farmington, Dylan and Joshua Ireland of Corinna, and Senna and Celeste Reid of Temple.

He was predeceased by his father; a brother, Clayton; and his longtime companion, Lita Hatch Smith, on May 15.
