NORWAY – Norway Downtown Revitalization announces the following committee meetings, all open to the public. Anyone interested in joining a committee or working on a project is welcome to attend.

Wednesday, June 1: The Design Committee will meet at 9 a.m. at Norway Savings Bank. The primary focus will be projects funded by the town of Norway’s $500,000 grant from the Community Development Block Grant program, including historic district streetscape improvements and gateway sign enhancement.

Also on the agenda are summertime guided walking tours of downtown Norway, holiday decorations for Main Street and displays of historic photos in Main Street windows.

Thursday, June 2: The board of directors will meet at noon at Norway Savings Bank. Agenda items include reports on Norway Summer Festival, business retention, design projects and financial record-keeping. Bring a lunch; drinks and cookies will be provided.

Friday, June 3: The Promotions Committee will meet at 9 a.m. in the NDR office above Fare Share Market. Agenda items include Norway Summer Festival promotion, Best Foot Forward landscaping contest, ornament sales, business openings and a downtown business directory.

Friday, June 3: The Norway Summer Festival Committee will meet at 1 p.m. in the Norway Memorial Library. Agenda items include volunteer needs, promotion, Purchase Awards and logistics.
