FORT KENT – A record-breaking 295 students received degrees at the 123rd commencement exercises at the University of Maine at Fort Kent on May 7 in the University Sports Center.
President Richard W. Cost presided over the ceremony, presenting 253 bachelor and 42 associate degrees. Area students were:
Bowdoin: Joel Bayanilla, associate of arts in criminal justice.
East Wilton: Corey Shaw, associate of science of forest technology.
Farmington: Jeanne Stokes, bachelor of science in nursing; Patricia Chick, bachelor of science in nursing; Terra Brings-Daniel, bachelor of science in nursing.
Mount Vernon: Sharon Costello, bachelor of science in nursing.
New Gloucester: Andrea Ouellette, bachelor of university studies in elementary education.
Rumford Center: Melissa Muffler, bachelor of science in nursing.
Wilton: William Russo, associate of arts in criminal justice.
