FREEMAN – Gordon S. Huff Sr., of Freeman, died Tuesday, May 31, in Freeman.

He was born March 3, 1949, in Avon, a son Roy E. and Gladys H. (Gordon) Huff Sr.

He lived in Avon from 1969 to 1972, moving to Freeman in 1972.

He worked 37 years for Forster Manufacturing Co., as scaler and wood buyer until they closed in 2003.

He was a member of the Satsuma Beagle Club in Strong. He enjoyed his children and grandchildren, and also enjoyed trapping, hunting, fishing, camping, dancing and running beagle trials statewide and nationally.

He is survived by a daughter, Darlene Rowe and her husband, Marcus, of Phillips; sons, Gordon Huff Jr., and his wife, Peggy, of Strong, and Todd Huff and his wife, Tina, of Freeman; stepson, Joshua Starbird of Madison; sister, Gladys Pinkham and her husband, Jonathan, of Highland Plantation; brothers, Roy Huff Jr., and his wife, Paula, of Norway, and Michael Huff and his wife, Rispah, of Strong; grandchildren, Hailee Rowe, Lindsy Huff and Tyler Huff; six nieces; and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy, in 1982; and mother, Gladys, in 1983.
