LEWISTON – Louis W. Provencal, 44, of Lisbon Falls, passed away unexpectedly at Central Maine Medical Center on Tuesday, May 31.
He was born in Warwick, R.I., on Oct. 23, 1960, the son of Normand LaRoche and Jeannette (Gibeau) Provencal.
He was educated in Lisbon schools and graduated with the Class of 1978.
Soon after graduating, he joined the U.S. Navy and served his country from 1978 to 1982, and continued on in the Naval Reserves until his honorable discharge in 1984.
In 1991, he married the love of his life, Carolyn Brochu, and together they raised two handsome boys.
He presently worked as a work flow coordinator for the L.L. Bean Warehouse in Portland.
When he wasn’t with his family, with whom he loved dearly, he enjoyed carpentry, camping, swimming, volunteering his time to help with L.L. Bean sponsored blood drives and, once in a while, entertaining people with his singing. He touched the hearts of everyone he met and they will sadly miss their pillar of strength.
Surviving is his loving wife, Carolyn Provencal, of Lisbon Falls; two sons, Cory Ingerson and Brendan Provencal, both of Lisbon Falls; his parents, Normand LaRoche and Jeannette Provencal of Greene; two sisters, Cindy Knight of Wilton and Lisa Provencal of Greene; and two nieces, Theresa Knight of Old Orchard Beach and Michelle Knight of Farmington.
