LEWISTON – The Lewiston Recreation and Parks Department is offering a Youth Tennis Instruction Program that will run from June 22 to Aug. 9. Anita Murphy, coach of the Lewiston High School Girls Varsity Tennis Team, will serve as director. Youth ages 4 to 18 may participate and will be assigned to a class depending on age and skill level.

All youth who have registered or wish to register are required to be at the Lewiston Memorial Armory, 65 Central Ave., on Monday, June 20, between 8 a.m. and noon or 1 and 4 p.m. for class assignment/schedule.

Murphy and tennis instructors will be on hand to answer questions that parents/guardians may have.

Recreation Superintendent Joline Banaitis said, “This is a very popular program, and we anticipate a great turnout on June 20.”

The cost for registration, which includes a T-shirt, is $37 for Lewiston residents and $47 for nonresidents.
