LEWISTON – The Summer 2005 Track and Field Program for ages 14 and under will begin Monday, June 27.

Kevin Russell, a former member of the University of Maryland track team and a member of the Greater Boston Track Club, will serve as director. John Gagnon, Lewiston High School cross-country coach, will serve as assistant director.

The Lewiston Recreation and Parks Department program will run until Aug. 11. Practices will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday at Franklin Pasture Athletic Complex next to Lewiston High School.

All meets will be away due to field repairs at Franklin Pasture. A bus will be provided for those meets. If seating is available, chaperones will also be welcome on the bus.

The registration fee for participation is $37 for Lewiston residents and $47 for nonresidents. For additional information on this program, residents may contact the Lewiston Recreation Department at 782-5951; TTY/TDD – 784-5999.
