FARMINGTON – Aladdin is a handsome Maine Coon mix staying at the Franklin County Animal Shelter. His previous owners abandoned him and his two sisters, Jasmine and Raja.

Aladdin is quite happy here at the shelter, mingling with all the other cats, making the staff laugh when he prances around the room and pounces on an imaginary plaything.

He still is wanting something more, though – a real home to call his own. Many people may pass him by, seeing him as just one of many shelter cats, but if you look a little closer, it is plain to see that he is a diamond in the rough. All Aladdin needs is someone to show him a whole new world – one full of love.

Shelter staff is accepting donations for a yard sale except clothing. The sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 18, rain or shine, at Franklin County Animal Shelter.

New dogs include a female Chow mix found in Industry and a male setter mix found in Carrabassett Valley.
