What a cheap shot on front-page headlines regarding Linda Bean Folker’s cutting back access to land owned by her corporation.

The writer should have stated that after 60 years, the use of the shelter and grounds had to be curtailed as the result of gross misuse and disrespect of private property.

I am acquainted with Mrs. Folker and find her to be a very reasonable, sincere and generous person.

She does not deserve to tagged the “wicked witch of the west” as insinuated in the Sun Journal’s recent articles.

As the owner of some rural vacant land, I can sympathize with the action Mrs. Folker had to take.

Constantly picking up trash – be it cans, bottles, wrappers and used condoms – isn’t any fun.
