LEWISTON – Lewiston High School Alumni Foundation President Sharon K. Martel announced the scholarship recipients for the 2005 graduating class on Friday, June 3.

Saada Ahmed resides with her parent, Nasra Ahmed in Lewiston, and will attend Suffolk University. Her major is undecided at this time. The scholarship was given in memory of Donald Roux.

Kimberly Bechard resides with her parents, Armand and Suzanne Bechard in Lewiston, and will attend St. Joseph’s College majoring in communication. The scholarship was given in memory of William Carrigan.

Heather Bilodeau resides with her parents, Paul and Elaine Bilodeau in Lewiston, and will attend the University of Maine at Farmington. The scholarship was given in memory of Beulah Carrigan.

Tori Butler resides with her parents, John and Ann Butler in Lewiston, and will attend the University Maine in Orono majoring in communication/journalism. The scholarship was given in memory of Paul Cote.

Nathan Farnsworth resides with his parents, Robert and Georgia Farnsworth in Lewiston, and will attend Swarthmore College. His major is undecided at this time. The scholarship was given in memory of Adrienne Cote Emmi.

Courtney Goodwin resides with her mother, Laurie Ramsay in Lewiston, and will attend the University of Maine in Orono majoring in earth science. The scholarship was given in memory of Charles L. Cosgrove.

Robert Labbe resides with his parents, Anthony and LuAnn Labbe in Lewiston, and will attend the University of New England majoring in physical therapy. The scholarship was given in memory of James Roux.

David Labonte resides with his parents, David and Kelly LaBonte in Lewiston, and will attend Anna Maria College majoring in accounting. The scholarship was given in memory of Joseph Deschenes.

Danielle Lavoie resides with her parents, Danny and Shari Lavoie in Lewiston, and will attend Becker College majoring as a vet technician/animal care. The scholarship was given in memory of Anthony Karahalios.

Loren Lepage resides with her mother, Sandra Beauchesne in Lewiston, and is undecided which college she will attend; she will major in physical therapy. The scholarship was dedicated by a friend.

Amanda Michaud resides with her parents, Eddy and Louise Michaud in Lewiston, and will attend Wilkes University majoring in doctor of pharmacy. The scholarship was dedicated by Dr. Louis Talarico II.

Tyson Morgan (photo unavailable) resides with his parents, Scott and Lee Morgan in Lewiston, and will attend Macalester College majoring in English/international studies. The scholarship was dedicated by the Lewiston High School Alumni Foundation.

Ryan Reed resides with his parents, Robert and Linda Reed in Lewiston, and will attend the University of Maine at Farmington majoring in secondary education/social science. The scholarship was dedicated by the Lewiston High School Alumni Foundation.

Amanda Sasseville resides with her parents, Michael and Kathleen Sasseville in Lewiston, and will attend the University of New England majoring in dental hygiene. The scholarship was dedicated by the Lewiston High School Alumni Foundation.

Matthew Strout resides with his mother, Joan Rowe in Lewiston, and will attend the University of Maine in Orono majoring in pre-law. The scholarship was given in memory of Donald Roux.

All were presented alumni fleece sweatshirts.
