DIXFIELD – Prior to the annual town meeting Thursday, board Chairman Eugene Skibitsky said the finalist candidate for the position of town manager “didn’t work out.” The board and the Town Manager Hiring Committee interviewed the person earlier in the day.
He said the town will re-advertise for the position. In the meantime, selectmen will be available for any questions from residents, and board members and office staff will conduct day-to-day routine business.
Selectmen will decide how to fill the position temporarily at their June 13 meeting.
Former Town Manager Nanci Allard completed her work on Thursday after serving for 3 years. She has taken a similar position in Vermont.
