LEWISTON – Blanche A. Lagasse, 90, of 102 Campus Ave., Lewiston, died Friday, June 3, at St. Marguerite d’Youville Pavilion, where she had been a patient since Dec. 25, 2002. Prior to her illness, Mrs. Lagasse lived at Sabattus Residential Care for the last five years.

She was born in Grand Isle on March 6, 1915 the daughter of Thomas and Lizziane (Corriveau) Chasse.

She was married to the late Paul Lagasse in 1945, who died on July 10, 1982.

She worked at Hillcrest Poultry and Sableman Plastic Heel.

She was a devout Catholic, and attended mass daily and twice on Saturdays.

Mrs. Lagasse was a member of Saints Peter & Paul Church and the Ladies of St. Anne.

She is survived by one daughter, Joanne Lagasse and her husband, Ronald, of Lewiston; her grandchildren, Brandee Lagasse of Portland, Norman and Jason Lagasse of Rhode Island, and Eric Blouin of Lewiston; and two great-grandchildren, Shayne and Ryan Lagasse of Rhode Island.

She is also survived by her sisters, Marcella Levesque of Windsor Locks, Conn., and Constance Chasse of Grand Isle; and three brothers, Romeo Chasse of Jamaica Plains, Mass., Clifford Chasse of Madawaska, and Lionel Chasse of Adrian, Penn.

She was predeceased by her son, Norman Lagasse; two sisters, Anita Faucher and Gertrude Lapointe; and a brother, Edmond Chasse.
