PORTLAND (AP) – Brandon Moss belted a pair of homers and drove in four runs Saturday, helping the Portland Sea Dogs sweep the New Britain Rock Cats 10-9 and 6-4 in an Eastern League doubleheader. Jeff Bailey and Jared Sandberg added three RBIs apiece for Portland.

Alex Romero and Danny Matienzo drove in five runs each as the Rock Cats (20-34) dropped their fifth straight.

In the opener, David Murphy’s two-run homer was the game-winning blow as the Sea Dogs (29-20) rallied from a 9-7 deficit to win it in the ninth inning.

Romero and Luis Jimenez hit two doubles apiece for the Rock Cats.

In the nightcap, Moss belted a two-run homer for Portland in the first inning and added a solo shot in the eighth. Sandberg also hit a two-run homer.

Matienzo drove in all four New Britain runs with an RBI single, a solo homer and a two-run shot.
