A-L went on to win the second game 3-2 as well.

In Game 1, Pine State and Lewiston/Auburn scratched out one run apiece through eight innings. Pine State took the lead with a single tally in the top of the second. Lewiston/Auburn made two quick outs in the bottom of the frame, when Nick Lawler and Tim Mercier belted back-to-back singles.

After Adam Labbe took first base after being hit with a pitch, Jared Jalbert walked, driving in the tying run. Ryan Turgeon, a running replacement for Mercier, then scored the winning run on a wild pitch.

Lewiston/Auburn took a 2-0 lead in Game 2 following a Tim Mercier second-inning home run. It was a lead A-L held until the top of the seventh.

Two Pine State runners crossed the plate to tie the game. The bottom of the frame started much as the previous final inning, with Lewiston/Auburn getting two quick outs. Aaron Bouyea then knocked a double into centerfield, when the center fielder fired the ball back into the infield. The throw was errant and Bouyea was able to come around third and score the game-winner. Lewiston/Auburn now moves into a tie for first place with a 3-1 record while Pine State falls to 1-3 on the season.
