ATKINSON, N.H. (AP) – A 10-year-old boy who was supposed to throw out the first pitch at Sunday’s Red Sox game will get a little more time to practice his curve ball.

Gunnar Ericsson won the honor because he drew the best poster in New England in a contest sponsored by the SHADE Foundation. The organization was founded by pitcher Curt Schilling’s wife to educate children about skin cancer.

But the reward is being postponed because Schilling is in Arizona for more treatment of the ankle he injured during the World Series.

Richardson-New Hampshire

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) – Another potential presidential candidate in 2008 is due in New Hampshire this week.

New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, a Democrat, is scheduled to make several appearances in the state on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Richardson has not said whether he plans to run in 2008.

Instead he says he’s focused on working with other Democratic governors and his 2006 re-election campaign.

Richardson is scheduled to speak in Bedford and Manchester, among other appearances.
