GRAY – Fifty students graduated from Royal Academy on June 3 in an evening ceremony at First Parish Congregational in Yarmouth.

Tristan Abbott gave the invocation, Sarah Montalvo and Trever Allen read scriptures, Catherine Thistlewood led the changing of the tassel and Kyle Hladik gave the closing prayer. The traditional presentations of roses by the students to their parents was observed. Director Shirley Minster presented remarks and the graduation charge to the class of 2005.

The Royal Academy tradition continued as each teacher spoke about her students. Then to demonstrate the importance of parental involvement in the student’s life, each diploma was given to the parent to present to the daughter or son.

Members of the class were from six states and Bahrain and included students from the following towns:

Auburn: Catherine Thistlewood.

Buckfield: Kyle Hladik.

Gray: Alexander Adams, Russell Boisvert, Tiffany Foster.

New Gloucester: Daniel Audet.

Poland: Charlotte Doak.

Raymond: Emily LaMarre, Mary-Catherine Larsen, Mathew Markavich, Sarah Montalvo.

South Casco: Bonnie Kent.

West Paris: Tristan Abbott.

Windham: Trever Allen, Kayla Marshall, Andrew Warren, Nicolle Wing.

The following acceptances have been awarded: Abbott to Franklin Pierce College; Foster to Saint Joseph College; Montalvo to University of Southern Maine; Warren to Full Sail Real World Education; and Hladik into the Marine Corps.
