LISBON – Selectmen have asked Town Manager Curtis Lunt to come up with alternatives for the removal and cleanup of a building and property at 39 Village St.

The building was condemned earlier this year.

Owner Reggie Thiboutot missed the deadline to apply for a permit to tear down or fix the property. He was ordered to do that or face the prospect of the town taking action.

Thiboutot’s appeal to Superior Court was dismissed, paving the way for the town to take action.

“It’s going to be removed, it’s just a question of how,” Lunt said Wednesday.

He will present alternatives for disposal to selectmen at their June 21 meeting.

In their first organizational session since the annual town meeting, selectmen re-elected Michael Bowie chairman and E. Charles Smith vice chairman.

Newly elected Selectman Ed Madden was sworn in for a three-year term.
