I live in an elderly housing complex. I love living here. Management and owners do things to beautify the complex, and I appreciate this very much.

Fresh flowers were recently planted in the boxes at the entrance to the building. Residents here have no more homes to call our own, so the flowers are a nice touch.

During the night, someone uprooted all the flowers. Why would someone do that? What good did that do for whoever did that?

It would have to have been done by someone with no conscience, someone who had not been taught not to touch other people’s things; to leave things alone.

I was born in Lewiston, and I’m proud of this city, except when I encounter vandalism.

I wish whoever did that had had the upbringing I had. We must enjoy the things that are beautiful, not destroy them.
