AUBURN – Elizabeth M. Therrien, 97, of 440 Minot Ave., Auburn, died Monday, June 13, at Clover Health Care Facility.

She was born in St. Samuel, P.Q., Canada, on June 6, 1908, the daughter of Joseph and Marie (Cote) Begin and had been a resident of this community most of her life.

She was married to the late Alfred A. Therrien, whom she married on July 5, 1937. He died on April 10, 1996.

Elizabeth was a homemaker all her life and was totally devoted to her family.

She was a member of Holy Family Parish.

She is survived by three sons, Donald Therrien and his partner, Mary, of Leeds, Ralph Therrien and his wife, Shirley, of Lewiston, and Jean Guy Therrien and his wife, Genette, of Levi, Canada; one son-in-law, Ed Hinkley of Poland; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; three sisters, Rolande Begin of Lewiston, Therese Arsenault of Mexico, and Adrien Richard of Lewiston; one brother, Sam Begin of Lewiston; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by an infant daughter, Lucille; a daughter, Gaetane Hinkley; a great-granddaughter, Gloria Anne Gaetane Silva; and many brothers and sisters.
