LEWISTON – Attorney Thomas P. Peters II, as representative of the trustee, has announced the winner of the 2005 Alice Austin and Mary Schuman Scholarship Fund.
The winner, Alexandra McPhee, is a graduating senior of Edward Little High School. She is the daughter of James and Charlene McPhee of Auburn and will attend the University of Southern Maine in Gorham in the fall.
The scholarship fund is intended to assist students from the Lewiston-Auburn-Greene area pursuing studies in the field of education. The amount of the scholarship varies from year to year but it is expected to be in the range of $2,000 a year and have a total value of up to $8,000 over the four years of college education.
