I have written to the Sun Journal only one other time and now it seems I must write again. My one and only letter was about the care of the Great Falls Plaza walkway before and after construction of the Hilton Garden Inn.

Lights are burned out and not replaced. It’s a great hangout. Some lights have been out for over one month.

Grass is over 1- to 2-feet-tall.

Bushes need trimming or removal in case they are dead.

The small park on the corner of Court Street should really say: “Welcome to beautiful downtown Auburn: Needs major cleanup.”

Walkway to West Pitch needs major cleanup.

Trash cans are overflowing, flying all over.

Lots of people walk in this area, especially when the falls are really full and flowing. Why is this such an area of neglect by whomever is in charge of this? We need to call to have trash emptied.

Look across the river. It’s quite a difference in entering Lewiston.

Need I say more?
