RUMFORD – Stanley W. Jasud, 81, of Rumford, died Wednesday, June 15, at the Rumford Community Home.

He was born, Oct. 5, 1923, in Rumford, a son of Anthony and Stephanie (Greklas) Jasud, and attended Rumford schools.

On Nov. 25, 1966, he married Priscilla G. Easter at Rumford Point. She died Jan. 8, 2001.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked at the Oxford Paper Co., in Rumford and later at the Rumford Community Hospital.

He was a 50-year member of the Rumford Grange 115 and the Rumford American Legion Post 24.

He enjoyed painting various outdoor scenes, music, singing, and especially talking with family and friends.

He is survived by two sons, Benedict “Ben” Jasud and his wife, Melissa, of Dixfield, and Glenn Jasud of Rumford Point; a daughter, Rebecca Jasud and her fianc, Michael Billings, of Rumford; a sister, Kay Simpson of Rumney, N.H.; and grandchildren, Tasha, Kyle and Megan Jasud, Amber Grassette, Alyssa Jacques and Kayla Korhonen.
