LEWISTON – United Way of Androscoggin County recently presented Brann and Isaacson with an award recognizing the increased support from their employees in 2004.

During the past campaign, United Way Campaign Cabinet volunteers David Wightman of Austin Associates and Marc Frenette of Skelton, Taintor and Abbott implemented a challenge, including nine local professional firms to encourage giving among their employees.

“We are extremely appreciative of the ongoing and growing support to United Way to help people in need,” said Wightman, “We sincerely thank all the employees of the firms that participated in our first Professional Division Challenge, and we look forward to working with these firms again in future United Way campaigns.”

To qualify for the award, employee giving within a firm must net the highest percentage increase of total contributions during the 2004 United Way campaign.

“The employees of Brann and Isaacson share a commitment to build stronger communities and create a lasting impact on the lives of individuals and families,” said Maryjane King of Brann and Isaacson. “We are a proud United Way partner and strongly support its ongoing efforts.”
