LISBON FALLS – Anna B. Ferguson passed away on Thursday, June 16, at her home in Lisbon Falls, with all her family at her side.
She was the only child of Suzanna and Andrew Bottos. She graduated from Lisbon High School in 1942 and in May of 1945 she married George H. Ferguson.
She suffered for 59 years with leg ulcers but still worked for more than 40 years so her two children could have nice clothes for school.
Her fondest years were as the deputy town clerk for the town of Lisbon.
She was a communicant at St. Cyril and Methodius Church until it closed.
She was affectionately called “Bub” by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and also loved to follow her son and daughter in their athletic endeavors. She loved to play bingo, knit, do her daily crossword puzzles and watch her game shows. When she was young, she loved to swim and bowl.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of 60 years, George H. Ferguson; her daughter, Nancy and her husband, Roger Fournier, and their two sons, Andy and Jeffrey and his wife, Pam Fournier; Bub’s two great-grandchildren, Ashley and Austin Fournier; also her son, George A. and his wife, Susanne, of Sabattus, and their two children, Adam of Boston, and Allyson of Sabattus.
We will never forget you.
