SAN DIEGO, Calif. – On June 14, Kevin Thomas Mailhot took his last breaths of a life he loved and enjoyed to the fullest, passing at the age of 24.
Kevin was born in Lewiston, on Jan. 14, 1981, to Irene and Lucien Mailhot. Shortly after his birth, his grumpy baby face gave way to the infectious smile that soon became his trademark.
Following his 1999 graduation from Lewiston High School, Kevin became a professional wrestler known for his charisma and exciting ring presence.
A shoulder injury ended his wrestling career, but could not extinguish his lust for life.
Kevin was an avid cyclist, fitness enthusiast, movie buff, and diehard Red Sox fan.
In 2004, Kevin began training as a distance runner. He ran his first road race in August of 2004, finishing 475th out of a field of 4,354 runners in the annual Beach to Beacon 10k.
In November of 2004, Kevin moved to California to live with his cousin.
The weather suited his personality always warm, bright and sunny. While living in San Diego, Kevin became interested in surfing and was learning to play the guitar.
Kevin will be deeply missed by his mother, Irene; sister, Christina; brother, Brian; and by scores of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will also be remembered by the numerous people whom he befriended in his travels and most certainly left an indelible mark upon.
His infinite positive attitude and passion throughout his short life will never be forgotten.
Kevin’s father, Lucien, who passed away in 1987, is now enjoying his son’s company.
