GRAY – Gray Post 86 used a four-run rally in the fourth inning to pull away from Locke Mills with a 7-4 win in the opener of a doubleheader in American Legion baseball action Saturday.

Peter Gray and Matt Mobery supplied the power as Gray deposited a two-run home run, and Mobery chipped in with a two-run double. The visitors rallied with three runs in the seventh.

Jared Dunn picked up the victory with relief help from Dom McLean in the seventh.

Ryan Savage and T.J. Savage each had a pair of hits.

Game 2 saw a reversal of fortunes with Locke Mills squeezing out a 3-2 triumph with a pair of unearned runs in the seventh.

Gary Rumley notched the win, going six innings before giving way to Marcus Palmer in the seventh for the save. Ryan Welch took the loss. Mobery and Dustin Cormier had a pair of hits for Gray, while Eamon Monaghan chipped in with a double.
