AUBURN – Robin Dow Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, at the Alden M. Gayton Post 31, American Legion, 425 Washington St. Bingo will be played after the meeting and a bag lunch. There will be the usual raffle table. Garden vegetables are welcome. Tickets of $3 will be sold for the cookout/cookin picnic July 13.

Seventy-one members were present when the group met June 8 under the direction of the President Dorothy Larrabee. Birthdays for June were acknowledged with special recognition for Larrabee, Lee Koss, co-chairman and assistant treasurer, and Burleigh Edwards, all having birthdays in June.

Larrabee requested from three to five volunteers to assist in the “not-too-soon” preparations for the forthcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations, as plans must be made prior to the events, with reservations. Chaplain Pat Donohue led the group in a moment of silence in memory of former member Noella Higgins, recently deceased.

Attendance prize winners were Roger Briggs and Doris Michaels; pot of gold winners, Betty Hebert, Anne Edwards and George Remillard.

At the close of the meeting and following a bag lunch, the group had the annual food auction with Lee Koss as auctioneer.
