AUBURN – Earl F. Leclair, 68, of 120 Goff St., Auburn, died peacefully early Friday morning, June 17, at his home, after a courageous battle with cancer, with his family by his side.
He was born in Portland, Jan. 13, 1937, the son of Eugene and Antoinette Leclair. He attended schools in Portland, served in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged.
In 1990, he went to work for Hudson Bus Lines and worked there until he retired in February 2004 because of illness. Driving a bus was his love, and he always had a smile and joke for his fellow associates. He will be missed by the many friends he made there.
He is survived by one brother, William and wife, Betty, of Monmouth; two sisters, Faye and husband, David Tutwiler, of Prescott, Ariz., and Sandra and husband, Thomas Verge, of Buxton; special niece, Bonnie Leclair of Lewiston, and special nephew, Raymond Leclair of Auburn, who were his caregivers; and several other nieces and nephews who were special to him also.
He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Eugene and Raymond Sr.; and two sisters, Lorraine Barrett and Joanne Viney.
