GRAY – Lora “LaLa” Lemanski died June 18 at her home in Gray.

She was born April 25, 1952, the daughter of Lloyd A. Dill and Roberta A. Albert. She was born and raised in Lincoln, and attended and graduated from Mattanawcook Academy. While enrolled, she competed and won the individual ski championship, an accomplishment which she would later share with her younger son, Luke. She went on to attend Ricker College in Houlton, where she obtained a degree in education.

On Aug. 16, 1975, she married her college sweetheart, Frank A. Lemanski.

During her life, she taught at Southern Aroostook High School in Island Falls. In 1979, she and Frank moved to Gray, where she was employed at Harbor Supply Co., in Portland. In 1986, she went to work for L.L. Bean in Auburn, where she worked as a frontline supervisor in customer satisfaction until her death.

Throughout her 19 years at L.L. Bean, she managed to start and raise a family. She proudly supported her two sons in school, and their wide range of sporting activities and events. As the years went by, she was considered by many to be the “ultimate soccer mom” – she never missed a game.

She was an active member of the Patriots Soccer Club in Gray. She was an avid skier and enjoyed golfing, shopping, traveling and gardening.

Surviving is her husband of 29 years, Frank; her two sons, Adam and Luke; her beloved aunt, Bobbie; her mother, Lea Mary Hall; brother, Lloyd J. and Barbara Dill; sister, Martha and Duane Lyon; brother, Tim Dill and Toni McKay; sister, Roberta and Carl Staples; several nieces and nephews; and Suddy and C.J.

She was predeceased by her father, Lloyd A. Dill; and her brother, Howard Dill.
