LEWISTON – Recent results from South Lewiston Little League:

Minor Division: Don Morin’s Photo recentley completed a doubleheader. In game one, Don Morin’s Photo tied Patti Gagne All State Insurance eight to eight. Ben Trytek played great in the field for Pattie Gagne with several put outs and Brandon Varney had three hits to spark the offense. Don Morin’s Photo was led by Jarod Lavallee and CJ Jipson at the top of the order as the pair combined for seven hits and five runs.

In game two Don Morin’s Photo knocked off Hannaford 15 to 10. Eric Fye reached base four times and scored four runs while Tomas Smith had five hits and six RBIs. Kyle Morin and Danny Gertsel each had two hits for Hannaford.

On Thursday, June 15, Androscoggin Bank beat Hannaford 6-4. Tyler McBrine had three hits and Casey McBrine had two for the Bankers. For Hannaford, Douglas Mason had three hits and Nathan Albert drove in two runs.

LEWISTON – Recent results from Elliot Little League:

Major Division: Mike Morin’s Auto Center beat Aubachon Hardware in little league action on June 1. Jacob Bergeron went 4-for-4 with a double and four runs batted in. George Hopkins added three runs, while Chase Cote drove in two with a base hit for the Mike Morin’s Auto Center win. Aubachon was led by Jordan Charest who pitched well in relief, and Evan Hendershot with a base hit.

On June 4, Mike Morin’s Auto Center recorded another win over Cross Insurance, 2-1. Chase Cote drove in Jake Bergeron with a base hit with two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning to give Morin’s the win. Alex Parker and Ryan Lemelin combined to strike out 12 while allowing only five hits for Cross Insurance. Jacob LaPierre drove in Cross’ lone run with a double. Later on that day, Mekae Hyde would go on to hit a two-run homer and a triple as Mike Morin’s Auto Center triumphed over Hannaford 13-3. Eric Soucy went 2-for-2 with an RBI, while Luke Cote went 2-for-3 with an RBI triple. Jacob Lajoie went 2-for-3 with 2 RBIs and Forest Chicoine was solid in centerfield for Hannaford.

On June 6, Mike Morins Auto Center beat Rowe Lewiston with help from Jordan Brown who went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs. Andrew Butler went 3-for-4 with 2 RBIs, and Luke Cote had two hits and four RBIs. The Rowe Lewiston effort was led by Chad Chabot with a single and an RBI.

June 11, Mike Morins posted another victory over Cross Insurance. Corbin Nyde went 3-for-5 with an inside the park homer. Nate Cloutier went 2-for-3 with 3 RBIs, and Jordan Brown hit 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Cross Insurance saw hits from Jacob LaPierre and Alex Parker.

On June 12, in game one of a doubleheader, Dube’s Flower beat D.A. Poussard Construction in an 11-10 extra inning game. Coby Poussard hit a two-run homer, one double, and a single for the losing cause. Nate Berube, Colt Steelet, and Shawn Handler each had a double and a base hit. Chris Madden had two hits. In the second game, D. A. Poussard Construction took the victory over Dube’s Flowers 10-7. Nate Berube, Chris Madden, Coby Poussard, and Colt Steele were all repeat hitters in the victory. Leo Kates and Shawn Handler each hit key doubles. Scott Ouellette had three hits, while Ben Wigant and Caleb Leino were repeat hitters for Dube’s Flowers.
