AUBURN – This year’s United Soccer Academy is proud to announce the addition of Kevin Bennett to its staff. Bennett is a former All-State player at Lewiston High School and the University of Southern Maine.

Bennett comes to Maine from Nevada City High School in California, where he was a varsity soccer coach for 10 years. Several of his players have played Division I soccer at highly regarded colleges such as Stanford and the University of Portland.

He will work with with Eric Wagner, currently the men’s coach at Swarthmore, Don Plourde of Maranacook and Frank “Butch” Dow. Dow is a mainstay of the SoccerPlus Goal Keepers Academy run by Tony DiCicco. These coaches will be assisted by several varsity high school and collegiate players from the area.

The Academy is offered to players from ages 5 to 14. It will be held at the LAYSA Fields behind Auburn Middle School during the week of July 25-29.
