AUGUSTA – Singers with Maine-ly Harmony, an a cappella, four-part women’s chorus, opened the session of Maine’s House of Representatives with the National Anthem on May 11.

Prior to the opening of the session, the chorus, under the direction of Kathy Greason, performed musical selections from the fourth-floor rotunda.

The singers, who traveled from as far as Bangor, Winterport, Levant, Auburn, Buckfield and Standish, as well as from Augusta and Waterville, were thanked by the House.

Women interested in singing are invited to attend rehearsals held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays at the Gardiner Junior High School. For more information, call Lea Davis at 622-1273.
