LIVERMORE – New Norland Grange will meet at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 25, at the hall in East Livermore for an election of officers and program.

Church supper

LIVERMORE – The Livermore United Methodist Church will host its first supper of the season from 4 to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 25, at the Norlands Living History Center.

The menu will include baked beans, hot dogs, coleslaw, homemade breads, gingerbread and whipped cream. Cost is adults, $6; children, $3. Susan Boothby is chairwoman.

Country dance

EAST DIXFIELD – A family country dance will be held from 9 to 11 p.m. Friday, June 24, with music by the Crosbys. Bing and Nancy Crosby, country musicians from Jay, will play old-time favorites. The public is welcome.

The dance is free and for the whole family and will be held at the new Countryfolk covered outdoor dance hall. Donations will support the Countryfolk Youth Music Scholarships.

The dance will follow the weekly Countryfolk Music Theatre Friday night jam session from 6 to 9 p.m. All local country music musicians are invited to join in.

WILTON – Western Mountain Women’s Connection will hold a luncheon from 11:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, at the Boiler Room, Main Street. A presentation on sun protection will be given by Agatha Kimball, Mary Kay director. VFW parade

JAY – The VFW July 4th parade will be held on Sunday, July 3, with lineup starting at 3 p.m. and the parade starting at 5 p.m.

Individuals and groups are invited to take part and are asked to notify Andre Ouellette at 897-3673 or Bernard Gray at 897-3988 for information on where to line up.

Everyone is welcome to take part.

Summer intern

WILTON – Allison Saviello of Wilton has been awarded a summer internship in the Augusta office of Sen. Susan Collins. Saviello is a 2002 graduate of Mt. Blue High School and is the daughter of Tom Saviello of Wilton.

Saviello will enter the final year of her undergraduate program in the fall. She will study both business administration and German at High Point University in High Point, N.C. She says that she looks forward to assisting the citizens and businesses of Maine.

Vacation school

WILTON – East Wilton Union Church extends an invitation to all children ages 5 to 12 to join them for Vacation Bible School to be held from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Monday, June 27, through Friday, July 1, at the church on Main Street.

The event will include crafts, songs, Bible stories and refreshments. For more information, call Amy Byron at 897-5398.

NEW VINEYARD – The New Vineyard Historical Society room will be open from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesdays during June, July and August. All are welcome to visit the family files and pictures and other artifacts of New Vineyard history.
