WORCESTER, Mass. – Thomas J. Ryan, 77, of Huntington Avenue, Worcester, Mass., died Monday, May 30, at the Coes Pond Hospice.
He was born in Lewiston, son of Thomas J. Ryan and Nora (O’Leary) Ryan-O’Reilly. He was a graduate of Lewiston High School where he played varsity football and baseball. He attended St. Anselm’s College in New Hampshire and Riverside Junior College in California.
He had a long career as an offset pressman, including 25 years at the Heffernan Press Co., in Worcester, Mass., retiring in 1991. Previously, he worked for printing companies in Connecticut and Maine.
He was a communicant at Immaculate Conception Church.
He and his wife would have observed their 55th wedding anniversary on June 24.
He is survived by his wife, Leonora T. (Toomey) Ryan; three children, Kevin J. Ryan of Norristown, Pa., Gregory T. Ryan and his wife, Julie-Anne, of Shrewsbury, Mass., and Sheila A. Iandoli and her husband, Charles, of Rochdale, Mass.; and five grandchildren, Tim C. Ryan of Langhorne, Pa., Katherine and Anthony Iandoli of Rochdale, Mass., and Molly and Joseph Ryan of Shrewsbury, Mass.
