AUBURN – Central Maine Community College’s second summer session will begin on July 12 when more than 20 courses will be available and all will be finished by Labor Day.

“We developed these courses especially to meet the needs of area students who want a head start on their college career or who are returning to the area after being away at another college,” said Charles Collins, dean of student services.

“For students just starting in college, we have College Writing, Speech, College Algebra or Introduction to Computer Applications. Or, for those who are looking for an interesting elective, there are Economics, Literary Analysis, Human Geography, Critical Thinking or Developmental Psychology. CM courses transfer to most other accredited colleges and universities.”

There are also courses available at the college’s Western Maine University and Community College Center. For a complete list of courses available during the second summer session, visit the Web at www.cmcc.edu and click on “Course Offerings” at the top of the page or call the Central Maine Community College Registrar’s Office at 755-5292 or 1-800-891-2002, ext. 292.
