LEWISTON – Clayton Aaron Beedy, 60, of MacSullivan Street, Lewiston, died peacefully of cancer on Monday, June 20.

He was born in Lewiston, May 31, 1945, the son of the late Bradford and Hilda Beedy. At the age of six, he entered the Pineland Hospital and Living Center in Pownal, where he spent 44 years, until that facility closed. For the last 10 years he made his new home in Mechanic Falls and most recently in Lewiston.

His favorite activities were going for outings in the van, watching westerns and Red Sox baseball on TV, playing with his PVC toys and sunbathing in the backyard.

Surviving are one sister, Priscilla Nadeau and husband, Cliff, of Turner; brother, Ronald Beedy and wife, Barbara, of Livermore; nieces, Heidi Naylor and husband, Mick, and family, Heather Nadeau and husband, Stan, and family, and Gretchen Bellegarde and husband, Gary, and family; nephews, Greg Nadeau and wife, Nycole, and family, Brad Beedy, Jon Beedy, and wife, Felicity, and family, and Tom Beedy. He also leaves his friends and housemates, Claude and Cliffy, as well as his ASI extended family and wonderful caregivers, Suzie, Frances, Lisa, Tom, Liz, Anna, Grace, John, Kyle, Heath and Geneva.

He was predeceased by his father in 1996; and his mother in 2003.
