LEWISTON – Florentine A. Turgeon, 87, of 110 River Road, Lewiston, passed away Thursday, June 23, at home as gracefully as she lived, with her children by her side.

She was born in Caraquet, New Brunswick, on Nov. 18, 1917, the daughter of John and Clara (Poirier) Boudreau.

She came to Lewiston in 1936 at the age of 18.

She loved to travel with her husband, Roger, and after his death in 1982, she continued to travel with the Holy Cross Seniors, always looking forward to the next trip. She enjoyed gardening and in the winter she enjoyed working on latch hook rugs, having made 54 in all for relatives, friends, church bazaars or card parties.

In January 1943, she married Roger E. Turgeon and together raised four children, three sons Edward E. Turgeon and his wife, Clair, of Kirkland, Wash., Harry S. Turgeon and his wife, Judith, of Lewiston, and Mark W. Turgeon and his wife, Sonia, of Auburn; and one daughter Patricia T. and her husband, Michael Zebley of Lewiston. She also leaves three grandsons, Jacques Turgeon, Eric Turgeon and his wife, Michelle, and John Zebley; one granddaughter, Kim Turgeon; a sister, Helene Gagnon and her husband, Larry; sister-in-law, Therese Picard; nephews, Roy Picard and Paul Gagnon; a special niece, Claire Gagnon Braida; and many dear family and friends.

She was predeceased by a brother, Egbert Boudreau.
