LEWISTON – A free summer swim program began this week and will run through Aug. 12.

The Lewiston Recreation and Parks Department’s Summer Aquatics Program is held at Kennedy Park on Park Street. All ages are welcome to participate in this supervised program.

Community pool hours are 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Breakfast and lunch will be served on weekdays. On weekends and holidays, pool hours will be 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. The pool will be closed in bad weather.

Those participating in the program must wear bathing suits while using the pool and wading area, and no cutoff shorts or shirts will be permitted. Shoulder-length hair and longer must be tied back.
