LEWISTON – Police charged a 35-year-old Lewiston woman with aggravated assault Wednesday after her boyfriend was stabbed with a kitchen knife.
Michelle Scott was arrested Wednesday shortly after police arrived at 104 Blake St. to find Paul Blouin with a stab wound in his lower back.
Blouin, 38, was taken to Central Maine Medical Center and was released Thursday.
Scott was first taken to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, but police delivered her to the Androscoggin County Jail about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Scott’s bail has been set at $2,500.
Police responded to the apartment at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday after another tenant in the building reported that a man had been stabbed. Both Scott and Blouin were in the apartment when officers arrived, Lewiston police Lt. Thomas Avery said.
Scott was identified as a suspect after officers interviewed other people who live in the building, Avery said.
Police were not certain Wednesday night if the couple lived in the Blake Street apartment together.
