FALMOUTH – Morris Zack, 90, of 100 Clearwater Drive, Falmouth, died Sunday, June 26, at Maine Medical Center.

He was born in Athol, Mass., on Jan. 22, 1915, the son of Ella and Hyman Zack. He was a graduate of Athol High School where he was a member of the 1932 state champion football team.

He later served four years in the Army during World War II.

He worked many years as a purchasing agent in the Lewiston/Auburn shoe industry and worked several years in inventory management for the city of Auburn highway department. He came out of retirement to remain active and worked part-time until the age of 84.

He was a member of the Beth Abraham Synagogue in Auburn, and Temple Beth El in Portland.

He is survived by his wife, Zelda, of Falmouth; his children, Howard and his wife, Kathy, and Marilyn and her husband, Stewart; grandchildren, Alison, Benjamin and Jason; along with an extended family of relatives and friends.
